It is designed to create a successful network of projects that are simultaneously transitioning to regeneration. Content of the course

The course is delivered through an e-learning platform that offers great flexibility to address the contents in your own time. You will also have access to a private Facebook group, where we will upload the exercises corresponding to each module. This will also act as a very rich space to share our insights, personal challenges, doubts and hopes. 


Although there is flexibility in the timing, we will give you recommendations on when to start and finish each module, so that you get the most out of the course.

Course structure

  • A 1-hour live introductory module on the first day of the course.
  • 4 modules of four (or maximum five) pre-recorded presentations, averaging 10 minutes per video.  
  • Each module contains 1 or 2 individual exercises that will require time for reflection and concentration.
  • 1 group exercise to be completed with other people on the course.
  • Approximately 3 recommended readings.
  • Reflection questions that will be asking throughout the course in the private Facebook group.
  • Group mentoring session / Q&A at the end of the course.

Course certification


  • This course has a double certification, by the Earth & Life University of Mexico and  The RegenLab for Travel.
  • In addition, it is registered and approved by the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare, as well as the Mexican Ministry of Public Education, so it has curricular value. 
  • To obtain your certificate, you will have to complete all the exercises and send them by email. this does not need to be on the official end date of the course, as you will have more time to complete them.

Payment and cancellation policies

Sales policy:

  • Payment for the course will be made in advance via Stripe or PayPal. If you wish to make a bank transfer, please notify us at info@theregenlab.com at least 2 weeks before the course. 
  • Full payment must be made before the start of the course. If any discount voucher applies, the conditions of such voucher must be complied with.


Refund rate: 

  • For cancellations received 7 calendar days prior to the start of the course and provided the course has not been accessed, 80% of the amount paid at the time of cancellation will be refunded. After this period no reimbursement will be made.
  • Cancellations less than 7 calendar days prior to the start of the course will not entitle the student to any refund, unless the student alleges a major cause. The student will have the possibility to use the funds for a future edition of the course.
  • If the registered person cannot participate in the course, he/she may be replaced by another person, as long as he/she fulfils the requirements established for the course (or for that rate in question, in case of using a discount voucher) and request the change to info@theregenlab.com at least 2 days in advance.

The facilitators

Sonia Teruel

Sonia has been working in the travel industry for 20 years, specializing in community-based tourism, process systematization and certification leadership. She has worked for a responsible tour operator in Mexico since 2015, where she inspired the organization's transition from sustainability to regenerative. 


She wrote the first Regenerative Tourism Thesis in 2018, as part of the Global Regenerative Tourism Initiative, co-authoring the first regenerative tourism self-assessment tool. She is also the co-founder of The Hive-Place Regenerators. She is a speaker, consultant and educator.


After 8 years in Mexico, in 2021, she moved to the south coast of England, where she now resides.

Anna Alamán

Anna is a catalyst for new paradigms of conscious enterprise and business model design through the lens of the planet and systemic models. 


In 2011, she founded Open Eyes, an award-winning tourism Social Enterprise in India and is a specialist in transformative experience design. She is also the founder of Open Eyes Academy, a successful Social Entrepreneurship program for women.


Her transition into regeneration began in 2019, following her own professional and academic experience with sustainability, when she felt that there was something "not working".


Since 2011, Anna has created a home between India and Spain. She gives talks, is a facilitator and consultant.
